thank you very much for your inviting me to attend your birthday party . to be honest , i would like to accept your warm invitation . however , the current situation doesn't allow me to do this .
i have to decline your invitation for the following reasons . on one hand , two weeks ago , i made an appointment with an old friend who will come to beijing next sunday . on the other hand , his mother who will come to beijing to see a doctor asked me to accompany them . in view of these , i regret that i am not able to accept your kind invitation .
i hope my absence does not influence your good mood . i do wish that you would like the gift i have prepared for you . meanwhile , i hope that you will have a wonderful time that day .
