reserving a seat
we often see there is a table-cloth , a book or something else on the desk in the classroom or library , indicating the seat is taken . this kind of phenomenon is very usual on college campus . strangely enough , few students will protest it .
though it is for the purpose of better study for most students to take seats in advance , this kind of phenomenon has great negative effects . for one thing , this selfish behavior damages other students' interests . for another , reserving a seat violates the rule of faimess . no matter how late you come to class , the seat is still reserved for you , while many students coming earlier can not get a seat .
from my point of view , our college students should take a new look at our behavior of reserving a seat . only if every one of us improves our self-consciousness , will it not be a difficult task to get rid of this kind of unhealthy behaviors on campus .
