In recent years，people in growing numbers in city X are seekingto travel abroad. According to the above table，the past 10 yearshas witnessed a sharp increase in the number of people who traveled abroad from 10 , 000 to 120 , 000 between 1995 and 2005.
To account for this phenomenon, people have come up with various reasons listed below. To begin with，as the development of economy, they are rich enough to afford traveling abroad. In addition，the convenience of communication makes them be easily accessible to all kinds of tourism information. What’s more，individuals today are expected and encouraged to go outside to widen their horizon and face the real world of globalization. In this way they hope to keep themselves informed of what is going on around the world.
Beneficial as traveling abroad is, it may also bring about some negative effects. People may blindly adopt some unhealthy life style they see and experience in foreign countries. So we should learn to avoid the shortcomings of traveling abroad. (170 词）
