Wall
一堵墙，像一把刀
A wall is like a knife
把一个城市切成两片
It slices a city in half
一半在东方
One half is on the east
一半在西方
The other half is on the west
墙有多高?
How tall is this wall?

有多长?
How long is it?
再高、再厚、再长
Even if it were taller, thicker and longer
也不可能比中国的长城

艾青诗集《墙》赏析：
夜鱼短评：两首都是以“墙”为喻，揭示生存的困境和痛苦。卡瓦菲斯以他特有的“成熟的简练”（布罗茨基语）风格，直接了当地抓住了事物最本质最神秘的东西。而阿莱西·希德戈的“墙”则以排比句，绵密地织围起憋闷，绝望的气氛。两首的共同特征都是语感的平静和冷凝，没有多余的繁复花样，这让两种不同的语言——希腊语和德语，展现给了我们同样纯朴、厚味的美。感谢译者！
