译题二：三分钟识人看透对方真面目

译题二中的一些句子同样体现了汉语的特点，比如前后两个小句之间的逻辑关系在汉语中没有明说，翻译时应添加连接词，网友wiseme06处理的比较好，翻译成了：“much knowledge has been alien to us in treating interpersonal relations as every contact indicates a process of exploration and fusion”。这里不是说不可以翻译成两个独立的小句，而是涉及一个融通的问题，一个对英语句式的顺应问题。笔者在翻译时还注意了 socialization和social contact之间的词汇关联，力求符合英语形合的要求。至于“试探和磨合”的翻译，网友提供的答案千差万别，除了wiseme06翻译的 exploration and fusion，还有hanwekou的testing and grinding，emilywe73翻译的exploration and adjustment等也较好，oncle hugo翻译的ploughing around and running in比较形象。 “这个捷径，需要的是你要有敏锐的观察力，一眼看透对方的性格，这就是练到高段的识人术了”一句，笔者以为可以考虑融会贯通的方法来翻译，特别是“一眼看透对方的性格，这就是练到高段的识人术了”，说的是你具有这样的能力，但综合考虑英语表达需要，可以翻译成“你成了具有这样能力的人”，因为英语中刚好有 mind-reader可以表示“读懂别人心思的人”意义的这样一个词。第二段的句子在翻译时也要注意，汉语没有主语，但翻译成英语至少第一句话要明确主语we或you，特别是要和上文的we或you一致，即便是泛指，英语也要求在同一上下文中形式上的一致关系。
