夏五月武昌舟中触目

Two beared men, each with an oar, back to back row;
两髯背立鸣双橹,
Their short straw cloaks in wind and rain up and down flow.
短蓑开合沧江雨。
Blue mountains stretch like dragons far into the cloud;
青山如龙入云去,
Who are th white-haired men on sand-shore talking loud?
白发何人并沙语?
The boatmen fore and aft sing their song and refrain;
船头放歌船尾和,
Below the awning I sit and listen to rain.
篷上雨鸣篷下坐。
Pushing it aside, I don not know where am I;
退篷不省是何乡,
What do I see but white gulls in pairs passing by?
但见双双白鸥过。
