Three thousand years have passed since left the beauty bright;
美人一别三千年，
I long for him as if he were in front of me.
思美人兮在我前。
Peach blossoms redden rain and fall on Mountain White;
桃花染雨入白兆，
I know from human world the immortal would flee.
信知尘世逃神仙。
The empty moutain towers by night as by day;
空山亭亭伴朝暮，
Old trees cry and exhale sad cloud in crimson dyed.
老树悲啼发红雾。
How's the mountain transformed where inmmortals would stay?
为谁化作神仙区，
For miles and miles cloud and mist hang by riverside.
十丈风烟挂淮浦。
Spring comes to life when fragrance spreads from moutains pround;
暖翠流香春自活，
His fingers crush the rainbow into powder fine.
手捻残霞皆细末。
How many times has he crooned verse beyond the cloud
几回云外落青啸，
When in the sky the Goddess rides her crane divine!
美人天上骑丹鹤。
He dwells here after his spirit has traveled up;
神游八极栖此山，
His mind is carefree as the running stream flows by.
流水杳然心自闲。
He madly crooms with sword ungirt beside wine cup;
解剑狂歌一壶外，
He knows no human world but paradise on high.
知有洞府无人间。
Drunk, I look up and call the poet of my dreams;
酒酣仰天呼太白，
My mind is pure and I see no stain in four seas.
眼空四海无纤物。
Where is your soul in the mountain steeped in moonbeams?
明月满山招断魂，
Where can I find your face but in the vernal breeze?
春风何处求颜色。
