Your friend riding the red dragon mounted the throne;
故人已乘赤龙去，
You were left in sheep skin to fish moonbeams alone.
君独羊裘钓月明。
Though not a lord, Confucius' fame fore'er shines bright;
鲁国高明悬宇宙，
The emperor of lords and ministers made light.
汉家小吏待公卿。
When you shared royal bed, stars trembled in the sky;
天回御塌星辰动，
Now you're gone, leaving water clear and mountains high.
人去空台山水清。
I would fish with long, long rod and line by the side
我欲长竿数千尺，
Of Eastern Sea and sit to watch the rising tide.
坐来东海看潮生。
