(67) A Spring Day
新春日
Zhu Yun-ming (1460-1526)
祝允明
A spring of mume in bloom welcomes the break of day;
拂旦梅花发一枝,
Spring in my thatched cottage sheds its beaming ray.
融融春气到茅茨。
With flowers in view, wine to drink and verse to read,
有花有酒有吟咏,
What better fortune can fall to scholars indeed!
便是书生富贵时。
