Dispersed are my companions dear;
同伴都分手，
I go to the woods for my part.
麻鞋独入林。
I've changed my name thrice in a year;
一年三变姓，
Nine words out of ten gnaw my heart.
十字九椎心。
I'm used to hear the news of war;
听惯干戈信，
My grief's deepened by wind and rain.
愁因风雨深。
It is not hard to be no more;
死生容易事，
But my friend's death would cause more pain.
所痛为知音。
