From the pools here and there flows rippling water clean;

到处陂塘决决流，

For miles and miles extend the fields the willows screen.

垂杨百里罨平畴。

The wayfarer would feel his beard and brows turn green,

行人便觉须眉绿，

Passing the town 'mid songs of cicadas unseen.

一路蝉声过许州。
