When the eastern wind blows,

东风送客上江船，

my love's boat upstream goes;

西风催客下江船。

It will come downstream homeward when the west wind blows.

天公若肯如侬愿，

If Heaven should fulfil my bearty wish sincere.

便作西风吹一年。
