I leave my mother at the door for riverside;

搴帷别母河梁去，

I gaze at her white hair and tearful eyes now dried.

白发愁看泪眼枯。

To have on snowy night a son not within call,

惨惨柴门风雪夜，

It is no better than to have no son at all.

此时有子不如无。
