The willow branches are slender.

The grasses on the meadow are fine and tender.

A few red apricot boughs crawl

Noisily out of the wall.

The courtyard is deep.

Swings tied there in sleep.

Lovely is the east suburb when the rainy day turns fine soon,

And I enjoy watching my grandsons plough the land under the moon.

Gone is the yellow dust in the past,

Of green hills I now command a sweep,

Oh, back I am at last!
