Ju Jingchen (1303-?) alias Shunchen, styled Jingxian, was born in Yang-zhou. Ju was a diligent student ever since his childhood, but did not go very far in his official career. A fan of music, he was also a playwright, though none of his plays have survived. Three sequences of Sanqu poems have been preserved.
雎景臣（1303-？）一作舜臣，字景贤，扬州人。自幼好学，然仕途不得志。嗜音律，有杂剧行世，皆不传。散曲仅存套数三篇。

In spring you picked leaves of mulberry tree,
〔七〕春采了桑，
In winter you borrowed grain from me.
冬借了俺粟，
Now and then you bought on credit a lot of rice and wheat,
零支了米麦无重数。
Signing a land contract, you did me much of hemp cheat.
换田契强秤了麻三秤，
To repay wine debts, you once stole several bushels of beans.
还酒债偷量了豆几斛，
These are not groundless accusations by all means:
有甚胡突处。
They are clearly recorded in the ledger and the bill;
明标着册历，
I have in my keeping all the documents still.
见放着文书。
