Li Zhiyuan about whose life little is known, and he stayed in Liyang (belonging to today's Jiangsu Probvince) in the Zhiyuan Period in the Reign of Shizu Emperor of Yuan dynasty, and associated with Qiu Yuan. Twenty-six short lyrics and four song sequences of his have been survived.
李致远 世祖至元中客溧阳(今属江苏),曾与仇远交游,生平不详。存世散曲有小令二十六首,套数四套。

Broken is the dream of the beauty ideal,
梦断陈王罗袜,
Facing my bosom friend how sad I feel.
情伤学士琵琶,
In the west wind I see the passage of another year,
又见西风换年华。
A few cups of wine mixed up with many a tear.
数杯添泪酒,
And a few flowers sending off autumn day,
几点送秋花,
Symbolising the traveller leaving far, far away.
行人天一涯。
