Li Zhiyuan about whose life little is known, and he stayed in Liyang (belonging to today's Jiangsu Probvince) in the Zhiyuan Period in the Reign of Shizu Emperor of Yuan dynasty, and associated with Qiu Yuan. Twenty-six short lyrics and four song sequences of his have been survived.
李致远 世祖至元中客溧阳（今属江苏），曾与仇远交游，生平不详。存世散曲有小令二十六首，套数四套。

The Buddhist temple,
梵宫，

半规凉月半帘风，
How sentimental feelings the poet rule!
骚客情尤重。
Where are the towers that send
何处楼台，
The melancholy sound of the lute with no end?
笛声悲动，
My hair now is grey,
二毛斑，
The autumn night is long,
秋夜永，
The bleak wind wails in dismay,
楚峰，
Gusts of it so strong
几重，
Yet break not my dream of love far away.
