Tang Shi styled Shunmin, also known by his literary name Juzhuang, Tang lived in Xiangshan (belonging to today's Zhejiang) in the late years of the Yuan dynasty. A humorous guy himself, Tang wrote quite a number of Yuefu, song sequences, and short lyrics. His works, many of which are descriptions of landscape and meditaions on the past, are not without his feelings of a vagrant artist. These poems, ingenious and neat, are worth reading. There are also quite a number of his poems dedicated to mistresses and prostitutes. Of these poems only a few are valuable.
汤式 字舜民，号菊庄，元末象山（今属浙江）人。为人滑稽，所作乐府、套数、小令其多。作品多写景、怀古，夹杂着流落江湖的感受，颇工巧可读；题情、赠妓之作亦多，但可取者少。

Oh my friends how many of you now have white hair?

Though enjoyment seems to remain there,
乐可酬，
The figures are no longer what they were,
人非旧。
Indeed the time is still on the Double Ninth Day,
黄花时候，
No one is able with Tao the Prefect to compare.
难比旧风流。
