楚攻雍氏
Chu Attacked Yong Shi
【原文】
楚攻雍氏，周粮秦、韩.楚王怒周，周之君患之。为周谓楚王曰: “以王之强而怒周，周恐，必以国合于所与粟之国，则是劲王之敌也，故王不若速解周恐。彼前得罪而后得解，必厚事王矣.”
【今译】
楚国进攻雍氏，东周周济秦国与韩国粮食与楚王对东周很是恼火， 东周的国君对此很忧虑。有人替东周对楚王说大王国力如此强大， 却对东周恼怒，东周定会恐惧，必定联合它所增援的国家，那样就助长 了大王的敌人的力量，所以大王不如迅速解除东周的恐惧。它得罪大 王在先，后来得到谅解，一定会对大王非常好的.”
The troops of the state of Chu attacked Yong Shi, The state of East Zhou sent some grain to the states of Qin and Han. The king of Chu was very angry because of this, and the sovereign of East Zhou worried a lot about it. Someone consulted the king of Chu on behalf of the sovereign of East Zhou. The man said, “Because Your Majesty is powerful, if you are angry with East Zhou, its sovereign will be terrifiedf and then he will unite all the states he has supported with grain to act against you. Thus you will facilitate your enemy. So，you’d better remove East Zhou’s fear as soon as possible. It has offended you, if you forgive it，it will be very good to you and ready to do anything for you.”
