Zhou Ju's Advice to Lv Li
【原文】
周（最）[敢]谓（石）[吕]礼曰子何不以秦攻齐？臣请令齐相子， 子以齐事秦，必无处矣。子因令（周）（最）[軍]居魏以共之，是天下制于子也。子东重于齐，西贵于秦。秦、齐合，则子常重矣
【今译】
周（最）[联]对（石）[吕]礼说：“您何不凭借秦国进攻齐国？我请求 让齐国任用您为相国，您凭借齐国事奉秦国，一定会没有忧虑了。然后 您让我居住在魏国，共同事奉秦国，这样一来全天下都在您掌握之中了。您在东方受到齐国重用，在西方倍受秦国器重。秦国与齐国交好, 那您就能长久得到重用。”
Zhou Ju told LvLi, “Why not rely on the military strength of the state of Qin to attack the state of Qi? Please let me ask Qi to appoint you as its prime minister. Then you can serve Qin depending on Qi and will no longer need to worry about anything. Then you can send me to the state of Wei，and we can serve Qin together. Thus the whole world will be under your firm control. As a result，you will be both very powerful in Qi in the east and very honourable in Qin in the west. If Qin and Qi can get on well with each other，you will enjoy great power for the rest of your life. “
