You Xing Qin Had a Talk with Da Liang Zao
【原文】
(石）[右]行秦谓大梁造曰欲决霸王之名，不如备两周辩知之士。”谓周君tl广君不如令辩知之士为君争于秦
【今译】
(石）[右]行秦对大梁造说：“要想取得霸主或帝王的称号，不如广 泛搜罗两周的能言善辩并且富有智慧的人。“又对东周的国君说：”您不如派能言善辩而且有智慧的人为您争取秦国的支持。"
You Xing Qin (You Xing used to be the title of a kind of high-ranking court official in the state of Qin) had a talk with Da Liang Zao (Da Liang Zao used to be the title of a kind of high-ranking court official in the state of Qin). He said, “To make our sovereign become a Lord-protector or a King, you’d better win over all the eloquent speakers and wise scholars of both the staters of East Zhou and West Zhou. ” He then told the sovereign of East Zhou, “It would be better to send eloquent speakers and wise scholars to the state of Qin to strive for its support for you. ”
