张仪欲假秦兵以救魏。左成谓甘茂“子不予之。魏不反秦兵， 张子不反秦；魏若反秦兵，张子得志于魏，不敢反于秦矣。张子不去秦， 张子必高子。”
【今译】
张仪想向秦国请求救兵来援助魏国。左成对甘茂说您不如答应借 兵给他D如果秦军在魏国损失惨重，不能返回秦国，张仪也不能返回秦国 了 ；如果秦国军队能够从魏国返回，张仪就会在魏国受到重用，也不敢返 回秦国了. 假如张仪不离开秦国*他的权势地位一定会超过您."
