【原文】
楼許约秦、魏，魏太子为质。纷强欲败之，谓太后曰国与还者也， 败秦而利魏，魏必负之。负秦之日，太子为粪[土]矣！”太后坐王而泣。 王因疑于太子，令之留于酸枣。楼子患之。昭衍为周之梁，楼子告之。昭衍见梁王，梁王曰广何闻？”曰闻秦且伐魏/’王曰为期与我约 矣曰秦疑于王之约，以太子之留酸枣而不之秦。秦王之计曰：‘魏 不与我约，必攻我0我与其处而待之见攻，不如先伐之。’以秦强1折节 而下与国，臣恐其害于东周。”
【今译】
楼許撮合秦国跟魏国结盟，让魏国太子到秦国去做人质。纷强想 破坏这件事，就对魏国太后说广盟国之间的关系是反复无常的。如果 有能够破坏秦国并且有利于魏国的事情，魏国一定会背信弃义的。魏 国背叛秦国的那天，太子就要化为粪土了 ！”太后坐在魏王面前哭泣。 于是魏王对于让太子到秦国做人质一事怀有疑虑，命令太子停留在酸枣。楼許很担心。刚好昭衍为东周出使魏国，楼許就把这事告诉了昭衍，昭衍拜见魏王时，魏王问他道听到什么情况没有？’’昭衍说：“听 说秦国即将攻打魏国。”魏王说秦国已经跟我们约定好结盟的日期 了 ！”昭衍说：“秦国对跟大王的约定表示怀疑，这是因为太子逗留在酸 枣而不前往秦国的缘故。秦王的计谋是：‘假如魏国不跟我们结盟，就 一定会进攻我国。我与其等着让它来进攻，不如我先攻打它/凭借秦 国的强大，屈尊跟盟国联合，我担心它会损害东周。”
