楚威王战胜于徐州
King Wei of Chu Won the War in Xuzhou
【原文】
楚威王战胜于徐州，欲逐婴子于齐，婴子恐。张丑谓楚王曰王战 胜于徐州也，盼子不用也。盼子有功于国，百姓为之用。婴子不善，用申缚。申缚者，大与百姓弗为用，故王胜之也。今婴子逐，盼子必 用。复整其士卒以与王遇，必不便于王也。”楚王因弗逐。
【今译】
楚成王在徐州打了胜仗，想把田婴从齐国驱逐出去，田婴很担心。 张丑对楚王说；“大王能在徐州一战中取胜，是因为齐国没有起用盼子 的缘故。盼子对国家有功，百姓能为他所用。田婴跟盼子关系不好，因 而起用了申缚. 申缚这个人，大臣和百姓都不愿受他调遣，所以大王能 战胜他6如今把田婴驱逐了，盼子必定会被起用，他重新整顿齐国军 队来跟大王的军队交战，必定会对大王不利的。”于是楚王没有驱逐田 婴。
