齐王夫人死
The Queen of Qi’s King Died
【原文】
齐王夫人死，有七孺子皆近。薛公欲知王所欲立，乃献七珥，美其一。明日，视美珥所在，劝王立为夫人。
【今译】
齐王的夫人死了，有七个女子都得到齐王的宠爱。薛公想知道齐 王要立谁为王后，就献上七副珍珠耳环，其中的一副异常美丽。第二天，看看那副美丽的珍珠耳环戴在谁身上，就劝说齐王立她为王后。
The queen of the king of the state of Qi died. There were seven young ladies close to the king. The lord of Xue wanted to know which one of them would be appointed to be the new queen by the king. So he presented the king with seven pairs of pearl earrings，but only one pair was extremely beautiful. On the next day，he observed who wore this pair of beautiful earrings. Then he advised the king to appoint her as the new queen,
