Lord Mengchang then agreed to see him, Su Qin told Lord Mengchang," When I was on the way here,I passed by the Zishui River, There I heard two dummies talking with each other. One of them was made of earth and the other was made of peach wood. The one made of peach wood said, 4 You were nothing but some earth on the western bank of the Zishui River. Then you were made into a dummy. When august comes, it will rain hard and the Zishui River will have a flood. Thus you will lose your life. 1 The one made of earth said ? i You are wrong, I used to be some earth on the western bank. If I lose my life, I will be washed to the western bank again (referring to returning to its home). But you were a piece of peach wood from the east. Then you were made into a dummy. When it rains hard and the Zishui River has a flood, you will be flushed away by the water and not know where you will go.' Qin is a state with dangerous natural defences on all four sides. If you go there, it is like jumping into the mouth of a tiger, I don’t think you will escape from that state. ” Lord Mengchang then gave up the plan of visiting Qin.
