Wangsun Gu Was Fifteen Years Old
【原文】
王孙贾年十五，事闵王。王出走，失王之处。其母曰女朝出而晚 来，则吾倚门而望；女暮出而不还，则吾倚闾而望。女今事王，王出走， 女不知其处，女尚何归？ ”王孙贾乃人市中，曰淖齿乱齐囯，杀闵王，欲 与我诛者，祖右！ ”市人从者四百人，与之诛淖齿，剌而杀之。
【今译】
王孙贾十五岁，侍奉齐闵王.闵王出逃后，他不知道闵王到了哪 里。他的母亲说：“你早晨出去，晚上回来，我就倚在家门口张望；你傍 晚出去了不回来，我就倚在闾巷门后张望，如今你侍奉大王，你不知道 他在哪里，那你还回来做什么？ ”于是王孙贾来到集市中，说广淖齿颠覆 齐国，杀死了闵王，有想跟我一起诛杀淖齿的，袒露右臂！”集市上有四 百人响应他，跟他一起去诛杀淖齿，刺死了沣齿.
Wangsun Gu was fifteen years old and worked for the regime of King Min of the state of Qi. King Min escaped and Wangsun Gu didn’t know where the king was. His mother said, “When you leave home in the morning and come back in the evening，I lean upon the door waiting for you. When you leave in the evening and don’t come back, I lean upon the gate of our street waiting for you. Now you are working for His Majesty. His Majesty has fled，and you don’t know where he is. So why did you come back home?” Then Wangsun Gu went to the market and said^ “Zhuo Chi put our state in chaos and murdered King Min. Anyone who wants to join me in killing Zhuo Chi can bare the right arm!” Four hundred people in the market joined him. They stabbed Zhuo Chi and killed him.
