江乙恶昭奚恤
Jiang Yi Disliked Zhao Xixu
【原文】
江乙恶昭奚恤，谓楚王曰:“人有以其狗为有执而爱之。其狗尝溺 井，其邻人见狗之溺井也，欲入言之。狗恶之，当门而噬之。邻人惮之， 遂不得入言。邯郸之难，楚进兵大梁，取矣。昭奚恤取魏之宝器，以居 魏知之，故昭奚恤常恶臣之见王
【今译】
江乙很讨厌昭奚恤，对楚宣王说有个人认为自己的狗看家很好， 就很喜欢那条狗。他的狗曾经往井里撒尿，他的邻居看见狗往井里撒 尿，就想进门跟他说这事。狗很讨厌这个邻居，堵在门口咬他。邻居很 害怕，于是没能进去说明这件事。邯郸之战，楚国军队进攻大梁，攻克 了它。昭奚恤从魏国获取了很多宝物，我因为当时住在魏国，所以知道 这件事，因此昭奚恤常常讨厌我来谒见大王。”
Jiang Yi disliked Zhao Xixu，and he told King Xuan of Chu，“Once a man cherished his dog very much because he believed this dog always guarded his house dutifully. The dog used to urinate into the well. His neighbour witnessed this and was going to enter his house to inform him about it. However, the dog disliked the neighbour. It blocked the door and bit him. The neighbour was afraid of the dog and could not enter the house to inform the host. During the war in Handan，we sent troops to attack the capital of Liang and occupied it. Then Zhao Xixu kept many treasures from Wei to himself. I know that because I was living in Wei at that time. So，Zhao Xixu is always unhappy with me every time I want to meet you (because he fears that I might disclose this secret."
