hu’s King Was About to Set Zhang Yi Free
【原文】
楚王将出张子，恐其（败）[欺]己也。靳尚谓楚王曰广臣请随之。 仪事王不善，臣请杀之."
【今译】
楚王想释放张仪，担心他会欺骗自己。靳尚对楚王说请让我跟 随着他，如果他不好好侍奉大王，我就杀了他."

楚小臣，靳尚之仇也，谓张旄曰以张仪之知，而有秦、楚之用，君 必穷矣。君不如使人微要靳尚而刺之，楚王必大怒仪也。彼仪穷，则子重矣.楚、秦相难，则魏无患矣。”
【今译】
楚国有一个小官跟靳尚有仇，他对张旄说凭借着张仪的智慧，又 有秦国和楚国对他的重用，您必定要陷入穷途末路了。您不如派人暗 中拦截靳尚并把他杀了，楚王一定会重重迁怒于张仪。张仪陷入困境，您的地位就提高了。楚国和秦国互相作对，魏国就没有忧患了。”
