Someone Had a Talk with Huang Qi
【原文】
或谓黄齐曰人皆以谓公不善于富挚。公不闻老莱子之教孔子事 君乎？示之其齿之坚也，六十而尽，相靡也。今富挚能，而公重不相善 也，是两尽也D谚曰：‘见君之乘，下之；见杖，起之今也，王爱富挚，而 公不善也，是不臣也。”
【今译】
有人对黄齐说：“人们都认为您对富挚不友好。您难道没有听说老 子教导孔子如何侍奉君主的故事吗？让他看牙齿有多坚硬，到了六十 岁的时候却掉光了，是因为互相磨檫的缘故.如今富挚很有才能，而'您 却对他很不友好，这是两敗俱伤啊。有句俗话说：‘看到君主的车子，就 要下马；看到扶杖的老人，就要起立如今大王非常钟爱富挚，然而您 却对他不友好，就不是一个臣子的本分。”
Someone had a talk with Huang Qi and said，“Everyone knows that you are hostile towards Fu Zhi‘ Haven’t you ever heard of the story of Laozi teaching Kongzi how to serve his sovereign? He showed Kongzi his teeth. Although they were very firm，they would fall out at the age of sixty because teeth decay all the time. Now Fu Zhi is a capable person. However，you are very unfriendly to him. You two are internecine. A saying says，‘Alight from you carriage when you encounter that of His Majesty. Stand up when you encounter old people walking with the help of crutches. At present, Fu Zhi is cherished by His Majesty, But you are unfriendly to him. From this point of view, you cannot be.
