秦攻赵蔺离石祁拔
Qin Attacked Zhao and Occupied Lin，Lishi and Qi
【原文】
秦攻赵，蔺、离石、祁拔。赵以公子部为质于秦，而请内焦、黎、牛狐 之城，以易蔺、离石、祁于赵。赵背秦，不予焦、黎、牛狐。秦王怒，令公 子缯请地。赵王乃令郑朱对曰：“夫蔺、离石、祁之地，旷远于赵，而近干 大国> 有先王之明与先臣之力，故能有之。今寡人不逮，其社稷之不能 恤，安能收恤蔺、离石、祁乎？寡人有不令之臣，实为此事也，非寡人之 所敢知.”卒倍秦。秦王大怒，令卫胡（易）[昜]伐赵，攻阏与。赵奢将救 之，魏令公子咎以锐师居安邑以挟秦。秦败于阏与，反攻魏几。廉颇救 几，大败秦师。
【今译】
秦国军队进攻赵国，攻克了蔺、离石、祁。赵国让公子部到秦国去做人质，从而请求把焦、黎、牛狐等城邑献给秦国，来交换蔺、离石与祁。 赵国不履行对秦国许下的诺言，没有把焦、黎、牛狐送给秦国。秦王十 分恼火，命令公子缯去索要土地。于是赵王派郑朱应对他说：“蔺、离石 与祁等地方距离赵国都城非常遥远，而且靠近贵国。凭借着前代国君 的英明和前代大臣的能力，所以才能占椐那里。如今我的才能比不上 他们，连国家都不能顾及，怎么能收复蔺、离石与祁呢？我有不听从命 令的￡子，实际上是他们干的这事，我本人并不了解啊J最终背弃了秦 国。秦王十分愤怒，命令卫人胡昜讨伐赵国，攻打阏与。赵奢率领军队 营救，魏国派公子咎率领精锐部队驻扎在安邑以夹击秦军。秦军在阏与被击敗，掉头攻打魏国的魏几。廉颇援救魏几，重重击敗秦军
The troops of the state of Qin attacked the state of Zhao and occupied the regions of Lin，Lishi and Qi. The state of Zhao sent Childe Wu to the state of Qin as a hostage. Then Zhao asked for Qin’s permission to trade the areas of Jiao, Li and Niuhu for Lin, Lishi and Qi, After that,Zhao didn’t keep its word lo Qin and refused to give Qin the areas of Jiao, Li and Niuhu. The king of Qin was angered, so he sent Childe Zeng to Zhao to demand the land. The king of the state of Zhao asked Zheng Zhu to reply to Childe Zeng as follows ： “The regions of Lin, Lishi and Qi are very far from our capital and located near your state. Through the wisdom of our deceased sovereigns and departed court officials of past generations, we took over these areas. However, I am not as worthy as they were and therefore am not able to efficiently govern my state. How then can I reoccupy Lin, Lishi and Qi? There are some court officials who do not take my orders. It must have been them who have done this. I didn ’ t know anything about it.” Finally he turned against the state of Qin. The king of Qin was very angry. He sent Hu Shang, a man from the state of Wei II，to lead his troops to invade the state of Zhao and attack the city of Yuyu. Zhao She led troops to rescue Yuyu. The king of the state of Wei T sent Childe Jiu to lead selected troops to garrison in Anyi and attack the troops of Qin from there. The troops of Qin were defeated in Yuyu. On their way back to Qin，they attacked Ji of the state of Wei I , Lian Po rescued Ji and badly defeated the troops of Qin there
