Three States Attacked Qin and Zhao Attacked Zhongshan
【原文】
三国攻秦，赵攻中山，取扶柳，五年以擅呼沲。齐人戎郭、宋突谓仇 郝曰不如尽归中山之新地。中山案此言于齐曰：“四国将假道于卫， 以过章子之路。齐闻此，必效鼓。”
【今译】
魏、齐、韩三个国家进攻秦国，赵国进攻中山，占领了扶柳，用五年 时间占领了滹沱河流域。齐国人戎郭、宋突对仇郝说不如把刚从中 山夺取的土地都归还给它。中山因此对齐国说赵国将向卫国借道， 来阻拦章子回来的路。’齐国听说了，必定会进献鼓邑。”
Three states- Wei , Qi and Han launched a concerted attack on the state of Qin. The troops of the state of Zhao invaded the state of Zhongshan and occupied Fuliu. Five years later, they took over the areas along the Hutuo River. Rong Guo and Song Tu，two men from the state of Qi，told Qiu Hao, ‘‘You’d better return all the territory taken from the state of Zhongshan. Then Zhongshan will inform the state of Qi as follows： ‘The troops of the state of Zhao will march through the state of Wei Q to intercept Zhangzi’s troops. ? When the king of the state of Qi hears this, he will definitely cede the region of Gu to you.”
