Zhai Zhang Came from Wei
【原文】
翟章从梁来，甚善赵王。赵王三延之以相，翟章辞不受。田驷谓柱 国韩向曰臣请为卿刺之客若死，则王必怒而诛建信君。建信君死， 则卿必为相矣；建信君不死，以为交，终身不敝，卿因以德建信君矣。”
【今译】
翟章从魏国来，对赵王非常友好。赵王几次邀请他做相国，翟章都 没有接受。田驷对柱国韩向说请让我为你刺杀他。如果他死了，那 大王必定会非常生气，从而处死建信君fl建信君死了，您就一定能做相 国了 ；建信君不死，就趁这个机会跟他结交，终生不反曰，因此也能让建 信君感激您。”
Zhai Zhang came from the state of Wei and hobnobbed with the king of the state of Zhao, The king of Zhao invited him to be prime minister of his state several times, but Zhai Zhang refused. Tian Si had a talk with Han Xiang，the then Zhuguo (referring to the second highest position among all the court officials，which is only inferior to the prime minister of Zhao)，and said，“Please let me assassinate him for you. If he dies，His Majesty will definitely blame Lord Jianxin and therefore will sentence him to death. If Lord Jianxin loses his life, you will become prime minister. If not，you can take occasion to befriend him and never turn against him during your lifetime. Then Lord Jianxin will be grateful to you. ”
