齐魏约而伐楚
Qi and Wei Launched a Concerted Attack on Chu
【原文】
齐、魏约而伐楚，魏以董庆为质于齐。楚攻齐，大败之，而魏弗救。 田婴怒，将杀董庆.旰夷为董庆谓田婴曰：“楚攻齐，大败之，而不敢深 入者，以魏为将内之于齐而击其后。今杀董庆，是示楚无魏也。魏怒合于楚，齐必危矣。不如贵董庆以善魏，而疑之于楚也/’
【今译】
齐国和魏国联合进攻楚国，魏国让董庆到齐国做人质。楚国进攻 齐国，大大击敗了齐军，但是魏国没有进行营救。田婴很恼怒，准备杀 死董庆。旰夷为董庆对田婴说楚国进攻齐国，大大击敗了它，然而却 不敢深入齐国，以为魏国打算让楚军深入齐国内地而从后面袭击他们。 如今杀了董庆，是向楚国表明跟魏国断绝了关系。魏国生气了，就会跟楚国联合，齐国一定会危险了。不如善待黃庆，来跟魏国保持良好的关系，从而让楚国产生疑虑。”
The troops of the state of Qi and those of the state of Wei launched a concerted attack on the state of Chu. The state of Wei sent Dong Qing to the state of Qi as a hostage. The troops of Chu attacked the state of Qi and badly defeated it. However, the state of Wei didn’t come to Qi7 s rescue. Tian Ying was angry, so he decided to kill Dong Qing, On behalf of Dong Qing, Gan Yi had a talk with Tian Ying and said，“The troops of Chu have attacked Qi and badly defeated it. However, they dare not go deeply into Qi’s inland， because they fear that the state of Wei might wish Chu march further into the state of Qi，so that it can send troops to attack them in the rear. Now if you kill Dong Qing, it will show that you are cutting off ties with Wei. Thus Wei will be vexed and therefore ally with the state of Chu. As a result, the state of Qi will be in danger. It would be better if you honour Dong Qing and maintain good relations with Wei
