Hui Shi Allied with Han and Wei
惠施为韩魏交
Hui Shi tried to ally the state of Han and the state of Wei with the state of Qi, He sent Ming,the crown prince of Wei, to Qi as a hostage. The king of Wei missed the crown prince， so Zhu Cang suggested to the king, “Why not pretend to be ill? I will advise Tian Ying as follows： ‘Look，the king of Wei is very old，and now he is sick. It would be better if you let the crown prince return to Wei‘ Thus you will do them a big favour. Otherwise，Childe Gao is now in the state of Chu，and Chu will call him back and enthrone him. If this is the case，you will keep a useless hostage and commit unrighteous conduct, '”
【原文】
惠施为韩、魏交，令太子鸣为质于齐。王欲见之，朱仓谓王曰,何 不称病？臣请说婴子曰：‘魏王之年长矣，今有疾，公不如归太子以德之。不然，公子高在楚，楚将内而立之，是齐抱空质而行不义也。’”
【今译】
惠施撮合韩国和魏国跟齐国结盟，让魏国的太子鸣到齐国做人质。 魏王想见太子，朱仓对魏王说广为什么不声称自己生病？让我去对田 婴说"魏王年纪很大了，现在生病，您不如让太子回国，对他施加恩惠。 不然的话，公子高在楚国，楚国将让他回国并立他为王，这样一来，齐国就是抱着一个没有任何作用的人盾而且做了不义之事啊。”
