【原文】
秦拔宁邑，魏王令（之）[人]谓秦王曰:“王归宁邑，吾请先天下构广 (魏魏）[谓秦]王曰广王无听。魏王见天下之不足恃也，故欲先构。夫 亡宁者，宜割二宁以求构；夫得宁者，安能归宁乎？” .
【今译】
秦国攻克了宁邑，魏王派人对秦王说广大王归还宁邑，我就请求抢 在天下各国之前率先跟您讲和有人对秦王说：“大王不要听他的，魏 王发现天下各国靠不住了，所以想抢先讲和。失掉宁邑的一方应该割 让两倍于宁邑的土地来寻求讲和，得到宁邑的一方怎能归还呢？”
