信陵君杀晋鄙
Lord Xinling Killed Jin Bi
【原文】
信陵君杀晋鄙，救邯郸，破秦人，存赵国，赵王自郊迎。唐且谓信陵 君曰臣闻之曰：事有不可知者，有不可不知者；有不可忘者，有不可不 忘者信陵君曰何谓也？ ”对曰人之憎我也，不可不知也；吾憎人 也，不可得而知也。人之有德于我也，不可忘也吾有德于人也，不可不 忘也。今君杀晋鄙，救邯郸，破秦人，存赵国，此大德也。今赵王自郊 迎，卒然见赵王，臣愿君之忘之也。”信陵君曰无忌谨受教。”
【今译】
信陵君杀死晋鄙，解救邯郸，击敗秦国军队，保全了赵国。赵王亲 自到郊外迎接他。唐且对信陵君说我听到有句话说：有些事情是不 可以知道的，有些是不可以不知道的；有些是不可以忘记的，有些是不 可以不忘记的D ”信陵君说：“这是什么意思？”唐且回答说别人憎恨 我，不可以不知道；我憎恨别人，不可以让人知道；别人对我有恩德，不 可以忘记；我对别人有恩德，不可以不忘记。如今您杀死了晋鄙，解救 了邯郸，击破了秦军，保全了赵国，这是大恩大德啊。如今赵王亲自到 郊外迎接您，仓促之间见到赵王，我希望您把这事忘了吧。”信陵君说: 我恭谨地听从教导。”
Lord Xinling killed Jin Bi, relieved Handan, defeated the troops of the state of Qin and secured the state of Zhao. The king of Zhao went to the suburbs of the capital of Handan in person to welcome him. Tang Ju had a talk with Lord Xinling and said，“I heard that there are some facts we cannot know, some facts we should know, some facts we should not forget and some facts we should forget* ” Lord Xinling asked, “What do you mean by saying that?” Tang Ju replied, “If there are some people who hate you，you should know that. If you hate some people, you should not let others know. If some people have done you favours，you should not forget that. If you have done others a favour, you should forget it. Now you have killed Jin Bi, rescued Handan, defeated the troops of the state of Qin and secured the state of Zhao, Therefore, the king of Zhao has come to the suburbs to welcome you in person. When you meet the king of Zhao, I hope that you will forget this favour you have done to him. ” Lord Xinling said, “I will carefully follow your instruction's. ”
