Someone Told Zhang Yi That He Was About to Consult with Qi's King
【原文】
(阙文）张仪谓齐王曰：‘王不如资韩朋，与之逐张仪于魏。魏因 相犀首，因以齐、魏废韩朋，而相公叔以伐秦。’公仲闻之，必不入于齐。 据公于魏，是公无患。”
【今译】
有人对张仪说我对齐王说：‘大王不如帮助韩朋，跟他一起把张 仪从魏国驱逐出去。魏国趁机任用公孙衍为相国，趁机依靠齐国和魏 国来罢免韩朋，从而任用公叔为相国来进攻秦国。，公仲听说了这件事, 一定不会到齐国去，而会来魏国依靠您，这样一来，您就没有忧患了。”
Someone told Zhang Yi，“I will tell the king of the state of Qi， You’d better support Han Peng, and then you can unite with him to drive Zhang Yi out of the state of Wei. Then the state of Wei will appoint Gongsun Yan to be the new prime minister. Then you can dismiss Han Peng from office through the might of both the state of Qi and the state of Wei. Then you can appoint Gongshu to be prime minister of Han and ally with him to attack the state of Qin. ’ When Gongzhong, also known as Han Peng, hears this, he will definitely not go to the state of Qi‘ Therefore,he will come to Wei and rely on you. Then you will be free from trouble."
