几瑟亡之楚
Ji Se Fled to Chu
【原文】
几瑟亡之楚，楚将收秦而复之。谓羋戎曰废公叔而相几瑟者，楚 也。今几瑟亡之楚，楚又收秦而复之。几瑟入郑之日，韩，楚之县邑。 公不如令秦王贺伯婴之立也。韩绝于楚，其事秦必疾。秦挟韩亲魏， 齐、楚后至者先亡。此王业也。”
【今译】
几瑟逃亡到了楚国，楚国打算联合秦国一起帮助他回国。有人对 芈戎说打算罢免公叔而任用几瑟为相国的是楚国,如今几瑟逃亡到了楚国，楚国又联合秦国一起帮助他回国。几瑟回到郑都的那天，韩 国就将成为楚国的一个县邑了。您不如让秦王祝贺伯婴被立为太子。 韩国跟楚国断绝了关系，它就一定会急于侍奉秦囯，秦国掌控着韩国、 跟魏国结交，齐国和楚国哪个来晚了就会首先被消灭掉。这是一统天 下的大北啊。”

Someone had a talk with Mi Rong and said, “The state of Chu wants to dismiss Gongshu from office and appoint Ji Se to be the new prime minister. Now Ji Se has fled to Chu, and Chu is trying to unite with the state of Qin to help Ji Se return to Han. The day Ji Se goes back to the capital of Zheng, the state of Han will become nothing but a county (referring to its status as a dependency) of the state of Chu. It would be better if you ask the king of the state of Qin to say congratulations to Bo Ying’s becoming crown prince. Then the state of Han will cut its ties with the state of Chu. Therefore, it will be eager to win over the state of Qin. Accordingly, Qin can ally with the state of Han and the state of Wei to pose a threat to the state of Qi and the state of Chu, Of the latter two, the one submits to you last will be destroyed first. This is the right time to unify the whole world. ”
