韩相公仲使韩侈之秦
Gongzhong，the Prime Minister of Han, Sent Han Chi to
【原文】
韩相公仲使韩侈之秦，请攻魏，秦王说之。韩侈在唐，公仲死。韩 侈谓秦王曰魏之使者谓后相韩辰曰广公必为魏罪韩侈。’韩辰曰：‘不 可.秦王仕之，又与约事/使者曰：‘秦之仕韩侈也，以重公仲也。今公 仲死，韩侈之秦，秦必弗人。入，又奚为挟之以恨魏王乎？’韩辰患之，将 听之矣。今王不召韩侈，，韩侈且伏于山中矣。”秦王曰何意寡人如是 之权也！令安伏？”召韩侈而仕之。

韩国相国公仲派韩侈出使秦国，请求秦国进攻魏国，秦王很欣赏韩 侈。韩侈在唐的时候，公仲死了.韩侈对秦王说魏国的使者对后来 的相国韩辰说：‘您一定要为魏国治韩侈的罪,韩辰说：‘不行。秦王推 荐的他，又跟他约定了 一些事情,使者说：‘秦国让您任用韩侈，是因为 公仲掌握重权的缘故。如今公仲死了，韩侈到秦国去，秦国一定不会让 他入境，又怎能劫持他来违背魏王的心意呢？’韩辰担心了，将要听从使 者的建议。大王如果不召见我，我将隐居山中了,秦王说：“怎么会认 为我如此变化多端呢？你要到哪里隨居？”召见韩侈并任用他做了官。
Gongzhong, the prime minister of the state of Han, sent Han Chi to the state of Qin on a diplomatic mission to ask Qin to launch an attack on the state of Wei. The king of Qin appreciated Han Chi. However, while Han Chi was in the area of Tang, Gongzhong died. Han Chi had a talk with the king of Qin and said，“An emissary from the state of Wei told Gongzhong’s successor, the new prime minister of Han, ‘You must punish Han Chi on behalf of the state of Wei,， Han Chen said, ‘I cannot do that. The king of Qin has appointed him to his post, and also made an agreement to take some concerted actions together with him. The emissary said, ‘The reason that the state of Qin asked you to employ Han Chi lies in the fact that Gongzhong used to be extremely powerful. Now Gongzhong has died. If Han Chi goes to the state of Qin again, Qin will definitely refuse to allow him to enter the state. How can he coerce the state of Qin into acting against the king of Wei?，Han Chen was afraid and therefore was about to take his advice. If you don't summon me right now, I will go to live in the mountains. ” The king of Qin said, “Why do you regard me as unreliable as that? And where will you stay?” Then he called in Han Chi and employed him in his government.
