韩氏逐向晋于周
The People of Han Drove Xiang Jin Out of the State of Zhou
【原文】
韩氏逐向晋于周，周成恢为之谓魏王曰周必宽而反之，王何不为 之先言？是王有向晋于周也。”魏王曰：“诺成恢因为谓韩王曰：“逐向 晋者韩也，而还之者魏也，岂如道韩反之哉？是魏有向晋于周，而韩王 失之也。”韩王曰：“善。”亦因请复之。
【今译】
韩国让周国驱逐向晋，周国让成恢为向晋对魏王说周国一定会宽恕他并且让他回来，大王为什么不先替他说说话呢？这样一来，您就 能通过争取到向晋来赢得周国了。”魏王说广好的。”成恢接着为向晋对 韩王说驱逐向晋的是韩国，而让他回国的是魏国，哪里比得上让他经 由韩国返回周国呢？否则，魏国就在周国赢得了向晋，而您就失去了跟 他的交情,韩王说广好的。”于是也请求周国让向晋回去。
The people of the state of Han drove Xiang Jin out of the state of Zhou. On behalf of Xiang Jin, Cheng Hui from the state of Zhou had a talk with the king of the state of Wei and said, “The state of Zhou will definitely absolve him and allow him to return. Why not suggest that the state of Zhou let him go back first? Thus you can win over the state of Zhou through Xiang Jin. ” The king of Wei said，“I see, ” Again on behalf of Xiang Jin, Cheng Hui had a talk with the king of the state of Han and said, “It was the people of the state of Han that drove Xiang Jin out of the state of Zhou. And it will be the state of Wei that helps Xiang Jin return to Zhou. Could anything be better than allowing Xiang Jin to cross your state to return to the state of Zhou? Thus although the state of Wei will win over the state of Zhou through Xiang Jin, your state will avoid being at enmity with him, “ The king of Han said， “Good idea.” Then he also asked the state of Zhou to let Xiang Jin return.
