智伯欲袭卫
Maiquis Zhi Wanted to Attack Wei
【原文】
智伯欲袭卫，乃佯亡其太子，使奔卫。南文子曰太子颜为君子 也，甚爱而有宠，非有大罪而亡，必有故。”使人迎之于境，曰：“车过五 乘，慎勿纳也！ ”智伯闻之，乃止。
【今译】
智伯想袭击卫国，于是让他的太子假装逃亡，让他投奔卫国。南文 子说太子颜是君主的儿子*非常受宠爱，没有大罪却逃亡，其中一定 有诈。”派人到边境去迎接他，对派出的人说如果他带的车子超过五 辆，务必不要让他入境。”智伯听说了这件事，就取消了这个计划。
Marquis Zhi was planning to attack the state of Wei，so he arranged for his crown prince to flee to Wei on purpose. Nan Wenzi said，“Crown Prince Yan is the son of Marquis Zhi. The marquis loves him very much. Now he is going to flee to our state without having committed any severe sins. There must be some reason for him to do so. ” He then sent some people to welcome the crown prince on the border and warned them，“If he brings more than five chariots here, make sure that you don’t let him enter our territory. ’’ When Marquis Zhi heard of this, he gave up his plan.
