卫嗣君病
The Sovereign of Wei Was Dying
【原文】
卫嗣君病,富术谓殷顺且曰子听吾言也以说君，勿益损也，君必 善子.人生之所行，与死之心异。始君之所行于世者，食髙丽也；所用 者，缫错、拏薄也。群臣尽以为君轻国而好高丽，必无与君言国事者。 子谓君：‘君之所行天下者甚谬！缫错主断于国，而挈薄辅之。自今以 往者，公孙氏必不血食矣！’”
【今译】
卫嗣君病得很厉害。富术对殷顺且说：“你按我的原话去劝说君 主，不要有任何增减，君主一定会亲近你。人活着的时候的行为跟快死 的时候的心情是不同的。当初君主沉溺于美色，所重用的人是綵错和 孥薄。大臣们都认为君主不重视国家而贪图美色，一定没有人跟他谈 论国家大事。你对君主说：‘您以前的所作所为是非常错误的。缲错独 断国家大事，并且有挈薄辅佐他，从今以后，公孙氏就要灭亡了
The sovereign of the state of Wei, also known as Lord -Weisit was dying- Fu Shu told Yin Shunqie，“If you listen to me and go to tell the sovereign exactly according to what I say, without adding or missing even one word, the sovereign will think very highly of you. Living people might behave differently compared with the thoughts of those who are dying. Previously, His Majesty was addicted to love affairs with beautiful women and appointed Xie Cuo and Ru Bo to very powerful positions. All the high-ranking court officials thought that he didn’t pay any attention to the state but was only interested in pretty women. So there was no one discussing government affairs with him. Just tell him,”Your previous behaviour was totally wrong, Xie Cuo has taken firm control of the state and managed government affairs exclusively. Ru Bo is there helping him. So，from now on， the Gongsuns will lose the state. ”
【原文】
君曰善。”与之相印，曰：“我死，子制之！”嗣君死，殷顺且以君令相公期。缂错、挈薄之族皆逐也。
【今译】
卫嗣君说说得好把相国的大印交给了殷顺且，说我死以后，你来统治卫国。”卫嗣君死后，殷顺且按照卫嗣君的命令做了公期的相 囯，缂错和挈薄等人都被放逐了。
The sovereign said, " Very good” He presented Yin Shunqie the official stamp of prime minister and said，“After I die, please take over the state. After the sovereign died, Yin Shunqie served as prime minister of Gong Qi ‘s regime. People like Xie Cuo and Ru Bo were exiled by him,
