facebook是风靡国外的一个社交网站，很多人一上网打开的第一个网站就是facebook，有些人上网也就是为了看facebook上有什么新动向。于是新词出现：facebook fever“社交网站狂热症”。
facebook fever refers to the uncontrollable urge to check one's facebook every time one comes in contact with a computer。
“社交网站狂热症”是指人们每次接触电脑就忍不住要查看自己facebook账号里头有什么新动向的冲动表现。
来看下面这个例子：
sam: "dude, you've been on the computer for four hours reloading the same page. don't you have a final exam tomorrow?"
萨姆：兄弟，你已经刷新一个网页四个小时了，你明天不是还有个期终考试么？
kyle: "facebook fever."
凯尔：社交网站狂热症。
sam: "no one has posted on your wall in days."
萨姆：就没人在你主页上留言。
kyle: "how do you know? they could have posted in between now and the last time that i reloaded the page!"
凯尔：你怎么知道没有？他们很有可能在我刚才刷新完就留言了！
