因(亚运会)足球比赛失利遭起哄，中国国奥队门将王大雷对球迷爆粗口进行辱骂，引起了轩然大波。
上文中，outbursts filled with expletives就是“爆粗口”或者“破口大骂”，也可以写成expletives-filled outbursts。outburst一般指“(怒气等)爆发”，比如：outburst of anger(勃然大怒)。expletive在这里指“脏话、骂人的话”，比如expletive-laced language(污言秽语)，不过，pet expletive可跟脏话没太大关系，它的意思是“口头禅”。
在英语里，“骂人”常用的表达有两个，一个是swear at someone，另一个是call someone names，例如：how can you swear at him/call him names like that?(你怎么能那样骂他呢？)
