10月9日上午10点，随着采火“圣女”康辰晨通过凹面镜点燃手中的采火棒，广州亚运会圣火在北京居庸关长城的一号烽火台成功采集。圣火采集仪式结束后，亚运火炬点燃暨火炬传递活动启动仪式将于12日在北京天坛举行。

上周六(10月9日)上午，2010年广州亚运会的圣火在居庸关长城举行的传统采集仪式中点燃。
文中的sun-ray ceremony就是指“圣火采集仪式”，这里的“圣火”指的就是asian games flame。sun-ray本意指“太阳射线”，因为圣火采集采取的是通过凹透镜取太阳光的方式点燃火炬，因此这里用sun-ray来表达，另外也可以用lighting ceremony来表示。
“圣火”被“点燃”就可以用ignite或者light来表示，例如：the beijing olympic flame was ignited in a traditional sun-ray ceremony at 11:45 on monday in front of the hera temple of ancient olympia。(北京奥运会圣火周一上午11时45分在奥林匹亚赫拉神庙点燃。)
在sun-ray / lighting ceremony(采集仪式)后，还将举行为期一个月的torch relay(火炬传递)，圣火将于亚运会开幕前一天抵达广州。
