After hearing Jay'S words about diving in Australia, she would like to give it a try. But Jay tells her that it is impossible to dive anytime she wants.

Ellen:Can we dive in Australia anywhere anytime we want?
埃伦:我们在澳大利亚能随时随地去潜水吗？
Jay:Absolutely not. Australia is such a huge country that it makes it hard to give accurate overall information about the conditions since it changes drastically from one destination to the other.
杰伊:当然不行。澳大利亚国家很大，各地之间的水文状况急剧变化，这样就不能掌握所有约水文清况。
Ellen:Do we have to take other things into consideration?
埃伦:我们潜水需要考虑很多事情吗?
Jay:Yes. There are a lot of things you need to consider including air temperature, average water temperature, average visibility, current and depth.

Ellen:That is a tough work. What is the suitable average water temperature?

Jay:The average water temperature ranges from 20℃to 31℃ year round. In the south, during Winter, the water can get chilly!

Ellen:What about the average visibility?
埃伦:那平均能见度呢？
Jay:You can expect 15 to 20 meters on the local dive sites and up to 50 meters if you go on the offshore dive sites.
杰伊:岸边的能见度大约是15到20米，如果离岸边再远点的话大约是50米。
