The bell has rang and it’s time for English class, but the teacher hasn’t come. There is a stir in the classroom. Some students are getting a little worried about their English teacher. She should have showed up for class by now. Some students wouldn’t be concerned, because they think she must have got stuck in traffic. And others believe she might have been detained by some emergencies. But they’re not so sure. The monitor says, ‘now, don’t jump to conclusions. I’m positive she’ll show up for class soon.’ After these words, the class calm down a little.
铃响了，该上英语课了，但是老师还没来。教室里一片骚乱。有些学生有点担心他们的英语老师。她到现在还没来上课。有些学生并不担心，因为他们觉得她一定是遇上交通阻塞了。其他人认为她可能被急事耽搁了。但是他们都不肯定。班长说：“现在，不要妄下定论。我肯定她很快会来上课的。”班长说了这些话之后，教室里安静了一点。
