I once wanted to buy a called Wives and Daughters by Mrs. GASkell.It's a very good nineteenth-century novel.I went to three good bookshops in London.NO,they said,they hadn't seen it for years.But they said they would look for one for me.Three months later I had postcards from all three shops;each of them had found a copy.So I had to buy three copies of Wives and Daughters.
