20. 动物的collective nouns（集合名词）
我开始学中文的时候就觉得中文的量词很头疼，但是也很有趣。
考试的时候写“一个钥匙’为什么会丢分呢。
为什么是一匹马，而不是一头马？为什么是一峰骆驼，而不是一匹骆驼？
我一直觉得用英语讲动物的时候用的collective nouns(集合名词)一样很有趣。
你只要知道哪些需要学会，就不会头疼了。
与动物有关的集合名词特别丰富，很多动物都有自己的集合名词。虽然集合名词有很多，但是你只要知道其中几个比较常用的就可以“生存”了。
几个你应该学会的集合名词：
herd:牛
he kept a herd cows, and also a bull.
他养了一群奶牛，还有一头公牛。
flock:羊，鸟，鸡
a flock of wild birds landed by the lake
一群迁徙的鸟飞落到湖边。
pack:狼，狗
he was attacked by a pack of wild dogs
他被一群野狗袭击了。
shoal:鱼
all three boats are gathered near a shoal of herring
三条小船在一群鲜鱼附近停下来。
swarm:虫子，苍蝇，蝗虫，蜜蜂
a swarm of bees started following jessie, who ran away terrified
一群蜜蜂开始尾随惊慌逃跑的杰西。
下面的几个集合名词只要能看懂就行：
pride:狮子
a pride of lions is resting under that tree
一群狮子正在那棵树下休息。
school:鱼，海豚
a school of small fish was swimming in the pool
一群小鱼正在池中游弋。
下面的几个不要求学会，只要了解一下就可以了：
gaggle:地上的鹅
plump:密集地飞在一起的鹅
skein:飞的鹅
murder:乌鸦
smack:海蜇
